Poster
My aim for this poster was to get the Harry Potter fans shocked that there's another sequel I chose the castle of Hogwarts as my element for a film. I chose this setting because I wanted the audience to be excited that there's another harry film coming out. The film title is called Life after hogwarts. With the final product I decided to make the poster black and white, this suggesting that the film will be involved with something from the past is going to creep up for the characters. The title was a gothic theme to go with the film since it's a thriller. The byline was "You can run from the past but you can't from it" suggesting that this sequel will still bring trouble moments with an explosion of hidden secrets for the characters to be aware of. I masked the text on a red eye to show how entertaining the film could be. The main image had the hogwarts castle set in a dark place. I decided to put the owl Hedwig (Harry's pet) indicating that he could be the messenger and relevant. Part of the castle is faded to give the audience that there is a mystery to be solved. I decided to make the poster black and white because Hogwarts is the past for Harry and his friends, so I wanted to give the impression that they can't let go of the past.
This is how i started:
I sketched a castlle with a poster that I would like in my poster. The castle looked tooo plain so i then decided to add a owl.
The owl i drew was too big to fit on the poster. so i therefore searched for a snowy owl on the internet.
After i got the picture, i cropped the owl from its setting.
This owl looked reasonable enough to place on my poster. I also liked the way i cropped the owl neatly with hardly any mistakes.
I wanted to add hogwarts castle to my poster, since its been on all the Harry's film series and symbolises alot, afterall the action all began at that place. In other words the castle is Iconic. The contrast of the castle was too bright for what i was trying to achieve, so therefore i had to lighten the colour.
This is black and white picture with the movie tittle on it.
Now the owl is placed in the picture.

Flyers
Flyers are for a summary of an event that is going to be happening, so therefore the important details must seen immediately to whom it may concern.
I was given a plain flyer to work on and how the details can look better when i re- design them. I also learnt how to use grids. Grids are useful to align the text or images.Without the grids, the text or images could be jumbled all over the place and this would not look professional.
This flyer has colour comparing to the other flyer, the style of wriitng looks attractive and could want the people whom this flyer is intended for make them want to attend, since it states all the information clearly.
This flyer is a terrible example of what a flyer should not look like. The background makes the text hard to see.

Album Cover
This album cover was picked randomly.
The 1st step was to go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random to get a random article. The title of this article will was the name of the person for my album cover.
The 2nd step was to go to http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 to get a page of a random quotation. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page was the title of my album.
The 3rd step was for me to go to http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days to get a random photos that have been uploaded to flickr in the last week. The third picture was picked for my album cover.
The 4th step was the design.
Before designing the album cover, I had to think of how the name of the band will fit the picture and the words. Funny enough because it was so random, the name and the picture matched togther so well. The name of my band was called Angel Balzarino and the picture was a light bulb infront of a sky. I decided to therefore turn the contrast of the picture to blue, and lighten the clouds and the bulb to fit the words VISION THAT I LOST SIGHT. The reasom why I changed the contrast is because i was to achive a picture that did not look so bright so that it could match the words and be more relevant as an album cover.
Logo
Thelogo was made for a fiction club called Red Karma. I think the name of it is catchy and needed a simple logo to with it. Before picking my desired logo, i designed a couple of what i thought could be a great logo. The reason why i drew a couple of designs because you need to plan how it will look and what will look better.
This is a few sketches of logos i had in mind.
The 1st logo was just plain and simple with big letters but did not demonstate what RED KARMA was.
The 2nd logo, I extended the R with a line to make it sytlish but still did not illustrate what the logo was for.
The 3rd logo, I decided to put a glass of cocktail in the moddle the indicate the idea at what the logo is about.
The 4th logo just had the initials of RED KARMA. This is just a simple logo with big bold letters.
The 5th logo, I drew a big plain circle with red karma which was quite plain.
The 6th logo had a circle with arrows pointing towards it with the word RED KARMA and the cocktail glass. The reason why i decided to put a circle was because the word Karma means what goes around comes back around.
The 7thlogo had a glass of cocktaill with the wordsRED KARMA goiing sideways.
The 8th logo had 2 arrows (1 going down and another going up) with RED KARMA slightly in the middle with a cocktail on the side.
After all these sketches, I decided to pick the 8th logo. This is because the design demonstrated what the logo's background was all about.
This is the final design.
I re-defined the arrows to make it stylsih and arrows that were no plain. I also added 2 more arrows and added a red glow around the words to give it that extra detail.
